Orchestra

The term “orchestra” was used to identify the location in Ancient Greece where musicians and dancers played.

The modern school orchestra was generally standardized with the modern instrumentation and sometimes they used traditional instrument with the above list to get more creativity for the event.

As required by the compositions in the program, various electric instruments or electronic instruments may be used in the orchestra.

School Cadet Band

The same can be said about the school band, the cadet band in particular, in countries like ours where the military has been a popular aspect about everyday life. Charting a past of Sri Lankan band contingents is a charting of their past from the rest of the world.

School Cadet Band participated in numerous events, including the Carol Service, Annual Award Distribution, and Annual Inter House Sports Meet. The Band engaged in the Ranaviru Day in addition to the College functions. The school’s Sri Lankan Cadet Band performs all western and eastern instruments.
