The Joker began his life as a criminal by pitting low-level criminals against each other in elaborate robbery schemes where he comes out on top, with money.

Neither Joker nor Batman possesses superhuman abilities. He instead uses his knowledge in chemical engineering to use poisonous or lethal concoctions and weapons that coincide with his dark sense of humor. These include razor-tipped playing cards, deadly joy buzzers, and acid-spraying lapel flowers against his enemies. His unpredictable personality leaves everyone on edge, no one knows what he’s going to do next.

He has caused numerous tragedies throughout his city of Gotham, most among the hero (Batman).

Joker only cares about himself and how he can selfishly succeed in life, no one else. His reputation is one of a sinister devil but his unpredictable nature and dark humor draw viewers into his character. It is a perfect nemesis to have against Batman because of their polar opposite personalities. His appearance frightens others and makes him such a fantastic villain.
