choose a film or TV show to analyze within the theory of intersectionality — meaning, an analysis intersecting two or three identities (sexuality, race, gender, class, etc.). Jump into an analysis of what the film/TV show does right or does wrong. When studying a TV show, for instance, what does the show do well when it comes to issues of race and gender? In what ways are the characters stereotyped or written in a problematic way? Is there a gender imbalance? Is the show diverse? These are just general guidance questions — you can focus on whatever you’d like and I’m happy to help guide you or answer any questions you may have. Your paper should be an analysis of your observation(s) and supported by research from our textbook and/or outside texts. In-text citations and a reference page (APA) are required. This paper should be 2-3 pages long (not including a cover page or reference page), double spaced, with standard Microsoft Word font, size, margins.
