My Mom – A Person Who Inspires Me Free Essay Example

Everyone has had accomplishments in their life, and behind those amazing accomplishments is someone who has inspired them or has had an impact on their lives in some form. Some influential people may be your typical Marthin Luther King or Oprah Whitney who are definitely great influencers. Well, I also have a most Inspiring person in my life, and that person happens to be right inside my home, my Mom. Through her daily words of encouragement, strength, love, and care I feel as if I can be and do anything my heart desires.

It took me twentyone years to realize what an extraordinary influence my mother has been on my life. Growing up with such a strong role model, I developed many of her characteristics. One of them being independence. Having me at a young age with a lack of support from my father, my mother still made sure I had the needed necessities as well always catering to my wants without any help.

That there taught me to depend on myself and handle business without the dependency of someone else, you know stand on your own. That is one of the most critical lessons she taught me. I can get it done all on my own, and it feels that much better when you accomplish things with no help. Because of that, I’ve put myself in a position where I don’t need anyone.

Perseverance, my mom beat all odds. Sixteen with a baby, you’ll never finish school. That’s what they told her over and over.

I’m happy to say that my mom walked across the stage with me on her hip, and accepted her diploma. Her income is higher than the onlookers who criticized her. She didn’t fall, victim to the teen mom stereotype, despite her circumstances. What I’ve taken from this is, if I want it bad enough ill succeed. Regardless, of what the naysayers say, the obstacles that are thrown my way and the cloudy days, I keep going, I keep pushing because through it all I will succeed.

Every day I sit and think of all the hard work she put in, and everything she sacrificed while raising me. I am astonished because no matter what she ‘s always been a mom before anything. She sits aside everything, to ensure that I become successful in every way imaginable. She always there to wipe away the tears and give me the push I need to continue reaching for greatness.

Everything that my mom has ever done for me has been overshadowed by the thought behind it. In conclusion, while the raw experiences we encountered daily were a bit of a struggle, I have learned to truly value them by watching my mom. My mother is no Michelle Obama or Oprah Winfrey she’s much more. She’s my inspiration, my hero my mom. Because of my admiration for her, I will succeed.
