Lastly, the Festival of Kwanzaa is an event that celebrates Kwanzaa in Irvine, California. Each day, a candle will be lit at the Pretend City Children’s Museum and there will also be other activities at this event. The dates are December 26-January 1 and the hours are 10-5. The price of admission is included with the museum admission. In addition, the seven core principles (Nguzo Saba) will be celebrated: Umoja (Unity), Kujichagulia (Self-determination), Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility), Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics), Nia (Purpose), Kuumba (Creativity), and Imani (Faith) will be honored.
